FAQ

Which starter should I pick in Anime Mysterious?
Naruto — his movement speed (~19-20 in creator tests) is the highest of the three starters, so he intercepts early waves best. Goku and Luffy are preference picks.
What should beginners spend gems on?
Banner pulls toward your first Mythics — not on gold. Evolve Broly before converting gems to gold, and farm Namek Act 3 Nightmare as your early gem loop.

This is the route tested day-one accounts follow, in order. Deviate once you understand why each step exists.

1. Pick Naruto as your starter

Of the three starters, Naruto has the highest movement speed (~19-20 in creator tests), which is what actually stops leaks in the opening waves. Goku and Luffy work, but no tested route prefers them.

Learn the two unit stances early: Hunt (attacks) and Defense (holds position / enables economy on some units).

2. Hit level 5, redeem every code

Codes unlock at account level 5. The redeem NPC is the lobby NPC named Naruto (not your unit). Grab all 20 working codes from the codes page — the gems and trait rerolls fund everything below.

3. Summon toward your first Mythics

Pulls cost 50 or 500 gems, and featured banners have a 500-pull pity. The in-game Unit Index is the only rate table worth trusting. You are fishing for Broly, Gojo and Sukuna — the core the whole meta is built on.

4. Put Speedwagon to work

Speedwagon is the economy engine: Defense mode prints Yen, Hunt mode does not. Field him early, keep him forever — he is S-tier on the economy board even in Update 0.5. Do not buy Boom as a substitute.

5. Evolve Broly first

Your first material pile goes to Broly: roughly 7,000 gold plus Dragon Ball Story materials, and his AoE + invulnerability frames immediately stabilise farming. Full reasoning in the evolution order guide.

6. Farm Namek Act 3 Nightmare for gems

The fast early gem loop is Namek Act 3 Nightmare. Higher acts and raids pay more only once your clear stays short — a slow clear of hard content pays worse than a fast clear of Namek. Full route breakdown in gem farming, with gold and Yen on their own page.

7. Level the account (fast clears beat hard clears)

Account level gates code redemption (level 5), and XP comes fastest from fast clears of easy content, not slow clears of hard content. Details in the leveling guide.

8. Then chase Update 0.5 content

Once the base team works: clear Fate Story to unlock the Gilgamesh event, farm Fate Coins, and pull for Saber — the new flagship. The full patch breakdown lives in the Update 0.5 hub.

Mistakes that slow new accounts down

  • Spending gems on gold before Broly is evolved — the exchange is a trap early.
  • Evolving Free or Last Heir first — both are bridges, not destinations.
  • Feeding your only Fammy to random evolutions — she is required for Wool later.
  • AFKing without the AFK chamber — Luc and steady resources come from the chamber; see the AFK chamber guide.
